These photos are shot on separate rolls of 35mm film (specification: fujifilm superia 400). Film’s beauty is found not only in the unique coloring and natural grain but also in the photographer’s intention. The frame is chosen with precision and shot in hope that the negative will produce the intended image.
This curated collection includes standstill moments captured in the Bay Area as well as Manhattan. These images reflect the photographer’s experience as a young 20-something going through multiple life transitions. There’s the mundane and quiet, the new and exciting. Chosen and shot with care, these images depict a life lived in the present and an acceptance of things that just are.
DELLIN ZHANG

Born in Toronto and raised in the California Bay Area, Dellin Zhang is a 20-something creative, seeking to tell raw stories through still and moving pictures. Early in her adolescence, she uncovered an interest in capturing images when she got her hands on her dad’s unused camera. Dellin’s passion for visual story-telling developed throughout middle and high school, and she now studies film production at Emerson College. When she’s not working on a project, she enjoys spontaneous exploration, car-ride karaoke sessions, and sunset-chasing along the Pacific.
