Aileen Xie is the founder of Firefly Review. She is an artist, writer, and musician from California. Fascinated by the conditions and contradictions of human conscience and consciousness, much of her work centers around existentialism, the nature of time, and the inner will. Her work can be found in Up North Lit, The Blue Marble Review, and Polyphony Lit, as well as others. Currently in her senior year in high school, she hopes to study cognitive science and psychology in the future.
